4 | Testing Speed | about 5 m per minute for thickness upto 40 mm and about 1 m per minute for thickness above 40 mm |
5 | Length | 6.0-12.8 m |
6 | Weld Bead Height | 1.0-5.0 mm |
7 | Straightness | 5.0 mm/Meter |
8 | Surface Condition | Smooth and free from Rust |
9 | Surface Temperature | Less than 55˚ C |
PROCEDURE:
Pipe to be taken on trolley by using hydraulic ejectors.
Pipe will rotate on trolley and also trolley move linear simultaneously inside of the fluoroscope enclosed room.
Operators stops the pipe at the flat panel position and start the machine in set parameters (kV mA)in which the required sensitivity and definition shall be achieved and starts the movement of trolley.
Flat panel receives the x-rays penetrated through the weld of pipe and the image will transfer to monitor through electronic media.
Operator will examine the weld image continuously on monitor and interpret the indications(defect)
If any indication found during the examination the operator will marked the same portion.
