Compared with conventional vertical industrial CT detection equipment and horizontal CT equipment based on object rotation, spiral CT employs a detection method where the test object to be examined is horizontally translated. During detection, the radiation source and detector move around the object under examination, while the object only requires translational motion.
Industrial Spiral CT can complete scans in a shorter time, and the horizontal translation detection method can process larger samples, making it suitable for inspecting ultra-long test object.
Meanwhile, the loading and unloading operations of spiral CT are more convenient, significantly improving detection efficiency and enabling rapid online detection. Spiral CT also avoids imaging motion artifacts caused by the movement of internal components of the object being examined, making it particularly suitable for online CT detection of long object.
