Industrial CT(ICT)computed tomography technology advantages and applications
Description
Industrial computed tomography technology, as an advanced non-destructive testing method, uses the penetrating ability of X-rays, combined with computer image processing technology, to display tomographic imaging of the internal structure. When X-rays penetrate the test object, the intensity of x-rays received on detector will change due to the different X-ray absorption levels by different materials. By collecting these X-ray intensity data and using complex mathematical algorithms for 3D image reconstruction, a three-dimensional image of the interior of the object can be obtained, clearly showing the internal structure and potential defects.
Advantages
Non-destructive testing: NDT technology is a non-contact testing and will not cause any damage to the object.
High-resolution imaging: Industrial CT technology can generate high-resolution three-dimensional projection, display the location, size, shape and distribution of defects clear, which greatly facilitates the accurate location and analysis of test object defects.
Complex structure detection: Industrial CT technology can detect tiny defects inside complex geometric structures, which is difficult to achieve with other non-destructive testing technologies.
High-precision measurement: Industrial CT,base on high-precision mechanical platform, can fulfill measurement into micro level.
Efficiency and flexibility: With one scan, all data can be saved, and any cross-section can be inspected and measured, greatly improving detection efficiency.
