Hydrogen tanks can be classified into five types according to the structure of the materials used.
Type I hydrogen tanks are made of metal only,include steel and aluminium alloys.
Type II hydrogen tanks are also all-metal cylinders which are similar to Type I except that they have carbon fibre or glass fibre filament wrapped around their straight body part.
Type III hydrogen tanks are uses metallic liner while Type IV uses polymeric liner,and carbon fibre or glass fibre filament wrapped around their straight body part.
